Hey, I know this place! I have a friend that used to work at Huis Ten Bosch. I've never gotten the chance to go myself but it seems like it would be a really cool place to visit. I can imagine in the spring the flowers are really awesome (like this photo) as well so now is probably the best time to check it out. I know the do illumination events and other stuff as well so that'd probably be a good idea for dates or even just for some casual fun with friends. I think they have boat rides as well. To be fair there's probably not much they don't have; I guess the park is supposed to be pretty large. Nagasaki is a little far from Tokyo for a day trip but maybe this summer I can get something worked out. Would really love to visit.

One piece at Huis Ten Bosch. I don't have much of a sense of Japan, but that's also a good idea.

Aghhh! I wish I got to get out and see some beautiful illuminations this winter but with everything happening in the world it wasn't exactly possible. Really wanted to check out the one in Hibiya but next year will have to do. I know a lot of events were canceled this winter as well but things can hopefully start opening up again as vaccines start rolling out around the country. Slow process for now, but hopefully it starts to speed up soon. I'd like to visit some flower parks this spring, I know there are a few that have illuminations as well and my girlfriend would love to visit them and see the cherry blossoms and wisteria, so if everything goes well hopefully we'll get the chance. That and I'm seriously missing going out to festivals, so hopefully we can get some of those soon!

The illuminations are beautiful in winter. The warm light colors warm your heart on cold winter nights.

Wow I looked this place up and it's amazing! I'm surprised it doesn't seem as popular as other flower parks but it has some really beautiful scenery. There's a ton of different gardens all with different themes as well. Spring is coming soon so it's something to keep in mind I suppose! I've never heard of Tasha Tudor either but I'm curious to see what kind of picture books she wrote know. I love that Japan has a lot of these types of themed attractions so you can not only enjoy the location itself but also the history behind it or the history that it is brings to life. Hopefully I can get out to Gifu this spring/summer. The place is called "Flower Festival Commemorative Park" for anyone wondering.

@可児市 Hana Festa Memorial Park

The garden of American picture book author Tasha Tudor.

It's not Japan, it's America! It seems to be plunged in,
"Tasha's garden was reproduced with flowers in the Japan."
In a way, it may be the personality of Japan ...

What a cute photo! I remember when I went to Akita, I don't remember the name of the flower park I'd have to look it up, but they had a small rabbit enclosure there and it was really neat getting to see them just hopping around munching on carrots and stuff. The place had some really good ice cream as well so that was a big plus. Speaking of ice cream, I just remembered the babahera ice that I had in Akita. That stuff was really good as well. It was like a sort of sherbet I think, but apparently it's only sold by old ladies which is how it got its name. I guess that's an interesting fact that I have to share today. If you're ever in Akita be sure to keep an eye out for it. I think I tried it somewhere around Lake Tazawa

「Morning glow flower park」 Location : Takuma Town, Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture * ~Sunrise Flower Park Urashima~ Margaret is one of the representative flowers of Kagawa Prefecture, and Mitoyo City boasts the largest production in Japan. There is a flower park Urashima on the Shonai Peninsula in Mitoyo City. Every year around May, the Margaret field overlooking the islands of the Seto Inland Sea is in full bloom. This photo was taken three years ago, but now adjacent to Flower Park Urashima, there is an auto campsite Urashima and CLASSICO Setouchi Coffee. * * * ~Morning glow flower park~ Margaret is one of the representative flowers of Kagawa Prefecture, and Mitoyo City boasts the highest production volume in Japan.
